Munchies Art Club becomes Catapult Contemporary
Hi,
We wanted to tell you directly:
Munchies Art Club is now Catapult Contemporary.
Same people, same editorial voice, same commitment to artists and exhibitions, but with a name that reflects what the platform has become.
Our new home is:
catapult-platform.art
Why the change
Munchies Art Club made sense when Instagram was the center of what we did.
It isn’t anymore.
Over time, the writing became more important. The archive became more visible. The way artists, galleries, and readers found us changed.
Today, most readers arrive through search. Artists and galleries don’t discover us in a feed. They find specific texts, specific works, specific exhibitions through search, links, and references that keep circulating.
That changed the focus.
We are now building something web-first, text-driven, and long-term.
An archive that gives work a place to be found, read, and returned to, not just seen for a moment.
The name Catapult reflects that shift.
Catapult is web-first now, but not silent on social. Catapult Contemporary stays active on Instagram, Bluesky, YouTube, and Substack. The archive is the center, but the conversation continues across channels.
What stays the same
Catapult is built by an independent editorial team.
We look closely, choose carefully, and give each selected project context.
Because attention is part of the work.
No advertising logic, no volume game.
Just editorial decisions, one by one.
Submissions & collaborations
Submissions are open for:
– Exhibition reviews
– Artist in Focus features
– Interview proposals
– Independent art projects
If you have a show, a practice, or a project that should be part of this archive, you can submit it here:
We are also opening a small number of gallery partnerships for spaces that want longer-term editorial visibility, not just one-time coverage.
Not advertising, but editorial collaboration with visibility, context, and care.
Submit your exhibition, work, or idea.
