About Catapult - Contemporary art platform

Artists and galleries featured on Catapult appear regularly alongside platforms like Artviewer and Ofluxo - not by editorial agreement, but because the European contemporary art scene treats these platforms as peers.

Catapult is an independent editorial platform curating contemporary art exhibitions, artists, and projects in a permanent digital archive.

Mission

Catapult is an independent editorial platform dedicated to contemporary art. We curate exhibitions, artists, interviews, and independent projects within a structured digital archive designed for long-term visibility.

Founded by Dominique Foertig and Ernst Koslitsch, Catapult operates at the intersection of artistic practice and editorial research.

Our geographic focus spans the Eastern European - Western European junction: Vienna, Prague, Budapest, Brussels, Copenhagen , scenes structurally underrepresented by larger platforms. That gap is where Catapult operates.

Our work is grounded in selection, clarity, and permanence. Each year we review a high volume of submissions. Only a limited number align with our curatorial direction. This selectivity defines the integrity of the Living Archive and reflects our long-term editorial focus.

The Living Archive

The Living Archive brings together contemporary artists across exhibitions, artist features, interviews, and collaborative projects. Each publication is conceived as part of a curated editorial framework and contributes to a growing record of current artistic practices. Content is structured, cross-referenced, and designed for long-term discoverability across search systems. Searchable. Indexed. Permanent.

Editorial Position

Catapult maintains editorial independence. There is no pay‑to‑play structure. All submissions are reviewed through a curatorial process. Collaboration begins only when there is clear alignment with the platform's direction and values.

Curation is not volume. It is decision.
