‍LYNN KOST ABOUT LAURENT IMPEDUGLIA ARTISTIC APPROACH:

The Belgian artist, who was trained at the Académie Royale des Beaux-Arts de Liège, was already attracting interest internationally because of his fanzines before his first exhibition.

Since Impeduglia is fascinated by socially constitutive cults, mythologizing and heroisation, the iconographies of Catholicism, industrial production, consumer fetishism, of power and pop culture form the core of his artistic vocabulary.
He gradually sublimated the raw power of his line and created a well-balanced oeuvre.

Full of mischief, Impeduglia draws an absurd picture of a meaningless society.
